WELCOME BACK: I hope this letter finds you and your children well after a great summer. There has been the usual activity at Placentino throughout this summer. Our custodial staff has cleaned the school from top to bottom and our dedicated teachers and support staff have worked diligently to set up their rooms in preparation for the children. The building is looking great and we thank everyone for their efforts.
INTERIM PRINCIPAL: Thank you for the warm welcome I've received from so many of you, since I joined the Placentino community as interim principal in July. I look forward to meeting everyone in the near future. As you may know, after a long search the district was unable to fill the position of the Placentino School Principal last spring. As a result a decision was made to have an interim principal for the 2014-15 school year. My goals as your interim principal this year will be to:
 continue the great traditions and core values of the Placentino School,
 help move the school forward to meet the challenges of the future
 support the school's transition to a new and permanent principal for the 2015-16 school year.
I look forward to a great year! You may reach me at or 508-429-0647. Our assistant principal Susan Gleason can be reached at . As a rule it is easier to establish initial contact by email.
COMMUNICATION HOME: You will receive frequent communication home primarily in electronic form. It will be sent to you through email and also posted on our website. There is much information on our school webpage at that will help answer many question about the opening of school. School hours and upcoming dates are listed.
