Adjective Day - April 30th

On Tuesday, April 30th, Placentino Elementary School is hosting its second annual Adjective Day as a school spirit day to help students learn new words and expand their vocabulary while also having fun!  The school will participate in a whole school read of a book about adjectives to set the stage for our special day! Throughout the day, the students will engage in learning activities that center around building new vocabulary.

Here is what students will need to do:

  1. Select an adjective. An adjective is a word that describes a noun (a person, place or thing).

  2. Design an outfit, hat or sign to wear that demonstrates the meaning of that word. *Please use material from home you already have! If wearing a costume, it must be school appropriate with no weapons or masks. Students should arrive with all clothing for the day on and plan on wearing it for the duration of the day.

  3. Display your adjective on your outfit, hat, or sign.
